Frequently Asked Questions
How many sessions do I need?
The number of sessions totally depends on how you are feeling, the goals and outcomes of therapy. We will always review sessions and discuss future plans.
How long are the sessions?
Each session is up to 50 minutes long.
How do I know if you can help me?
I want you to feel comfortable and to make sure I am the right counsellor for you. I always recommend a free 20-minute phone conversation first to discuss what you are looking for and to see if I can help you.
Is what we discuss completely confidential?
I work in accordance with the NCS code of ethics, please click here to read about when confidentiality needs to be broken.
How do I know when counselling should finish?
We always review sessions as we go. You know yourself better than anyone and so we can discuss in regular reviews how you feel things are going, whether your goals are perhaps being reached or worked towards and to see if any changes are happening.
When do you offer sessions?
Sessions normally take place during working day hours Monday-Friday. We can discuss times on the initial phone conversation.
How much are the sessions?
Sessions are £50 per session for face-to-face or £40 on-line via video/phone call.
