Life can be difficult and challenging for anyone, even at the best of times. These moments when we feel overwhelmed or unable to cope can happen at different times in our lives and for different reasons. We may begin to question our choices, relationships or struggle to see things clearly. This is when it can be helpful to gain some professional support.

My aim is to provide you with a warm, safe environment where you feel comfortable to talk and to free yourself of the burdens of your negative thoughts, feelings and emotions. Hopefully life can then feel more balanced and sense can be made of the confusion that you sometimes feel.

I am an integrative counsellor working with adults and young people from 12 years of age offering support for emotional health and wellbeing. I very much believe in the client counsellor relationship, enabling you to feel supported, safe and heard.

About counselling

Working humanistically means that we focus on the present. However, past life experiences and relationships do affect us in the present, and we can explore these as they arise in the sessions. We have unconscious behaviours, reactions and beliefs that are not always helpful. Bringing these to our conscious can help to have a richer understanding of the choices we make, our behaviours, thoughts and feelings. Awareness can then help with the change that we need for a happier more balanced wellbeing.

"It is the client who knows what hurts, what directions to go, what problems are crucial, what experiences have been deeply buried."
